Oil and Petrochemical Pumps

We can offer a wide range of pumps for oil and petrochemical applications. If required, we can supply most pumps for petrochemical applications with ATEX certification.

API Pumps

Pumps that meet the requirements of the American Petroleum Institute. These pumps are built to extremely high standards and are designed to cope with the rigorous conditions found in the oil and gas industry. For further details please see the API specific page on our web site.

Additive Pumps

Several pumps in our range are suitable for fuel additive transfer applications. However, one of the most popular for this task is the SG series external gear pumps from Viking Pump.  These are available with lip seal, mechanical seal or mag drive options. Though the latter is the most usual for fuel additive applications.

Other pumps used for additive transfer include the H series external gear pumps from Liquiflo

Pumps for Crude Oil

For most applications involving crude or unrefined oil we would recommend Viking Pump internal gear pumps. These make ideal crude oil pumps due to their durability and ability to withstand wide temperature ranges and provide constant flow. Viking Pump crude oil pumps can handle light, heavy and sour crude oil and are available in API 676 configuration if necessary. For more details of the range of crude oil pumps from Viking Pump click here.

Pumps for Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG)

Pumping liquefied (or liquified) natural gas presents several challenges in terms of high system pressures, low viscosities and product volatility. LNG pumps also may have to operate in extremely demanding condistions, both on offshore production rigs and on Floating LNG Vessels. We can offer a range of high performance pumps for LNG tank farm transfer, LNG loading and offloading, and LNG sampling. For more details of these LNG pumps and similar products, please visit the 'energy' section on this web site. Our range of Dickow magnetic drive centrifugal pumps are ideal for the high system pressure requirements when handling liquified gas.

Pumps for Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG)

Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG) includes a range of liquefied hydrocarbons, such as propane, butane, propylene and ethylene. Although LPG is a liquid at the slightly higher temperture than LNG, it is still sub-zero and a high quality process pump is required for this application.
